The nation entered phase 3 of lockdown today and its a relief for the districts classified under the green zone. However, Jharkhand will not follow the relaxations given by the center and will maintain a total lockdown even in the green zones for the next two weeks.
Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Mr. Hemant Soren made the announcement by sharing a tweet.
Jharkhand is the first state to bring its migrant laborers and students back home by Shramik Special Trains. Many stranded laborers and students are returning home and therefore, the chances of spreading the virus in the state are high. As a precautionary measure, the state will continue to be in lockdown until May 17.
Chatra, Dumka, East Singhbhum, Godda, Gumla, Latehar, Lohardaga, Pakur, Palamu, Sahebganj, Saraikela Kharsawan, West Singhbhum, Khunti, and Ramgarh are the 14 districts in Jharkhand under the green zone.
As of 4th May 2020, Jharkhand has 115 positive cases of coronavirus, 22 cured cases, and 3 death cases.
