Mahua has a separate fan base in Jharkhand as it was mostly used in making country-made alcohol. However, Mahua is not only restricted to alcohol but also has rich medicinal properties which make it an essential ingredient for ayurvedic medicine.
Mahua, also known as Madhuca longifolia is an Indian tropical tree mostly found in the states of Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Maharashtra, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Kerala, Gujarat, West Bengal, and Tamil Nadu.
Now for the first time, Mahua will be available in the form of delicious cake. The Torang trust located in Ranchi along with another company has taken the initiative to make different edibles with Mahua to help the tribal women and men in their livelihood.
Earlier in 2018, the trust has launched ladoos made up of Mahua which are now in great demand outside the state. The trust is doing online marketing to promote Mahua products.Like our Facebook page
